🕯️ A year ago, we stood together at the groundbreaking and it was just the beginning. With us was Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Chairman Thomas Galvin, who shared a simple but powerful truth. Understanding history is how we shape what comes next.

Today, that vision is still unfolding. Soon, it will live here in a space dedicated to ensuring these testimonies are never forgotten.

🌵 Phoenix is the only city of its size without a Holocaust museum or education center. That is changing now.

We are building a space where students don’t just learn history, they feel its weight through testimonies that stay with them long after they leave. Thousands of young people will walk through these doors each year and exit seeing the world a little differently, more aware of what silence can cost and what standing up can change.

💡 This is how remembrance becomes action. This is how education becomes responsibility.

🚨 Last call for artifacts

A photograph tucked away. A letter carried across continents. A uniform worn, preserved, and passed down. Artifacts are powerful traces of history. Each one holding a moment, a memory, a life. 🖼️📜

Do you have something like this in your family?

As we build the permanent collection for the Hilton Family Holocaust Education Center, opening in 2027, we’re looking for items connected to Holocaust survivors and families who built their lives in Arizona. Each piece holds an experience and connects us to a life we must remember.

Submissions are closing soon. Don’t let these testimonies go untold.

🕯️ Every detail of this space has been designed with one purpose: to bring Holocaust testimonies to life and keep the act of remembrance alive for generations to come.

That intention is made possible by our donors and community supporters, whose generosity is turning this vision into a place where history will be honored and shared for years to come.

🖼️ In a quiet room in Chicago, our Executive Director, Talli Dippold, held history in her hands. A piece of clothing. A worn photograph. A small piece of jewelry.

📜 Each artifact holds a powerful account that refuses to fade and brings us closer to what the Hilton Family Holocaust Education Center will become. This work moves forward piece by piece, testimony by testimony.

Follow along as it all comes together.

Last year, in a moment that called for honesty and resolve, Talli Dippold, Executive Director of the Hilton Family Holocaust Education Center, led a dynamic panel at the Association of Holocaust Organization Conference, focusing on the urgency of Holocaust education in a post–October 7 world.

The conversation brought together educators and advocates to reflect on the profound responsibility of preserving and sharing Jewish history and the critical role Holocaust education plays in a world that needs it now more than ever. ✡︎
