What started as an idea is now a reality! Today, we officially cut the ribbon on our new East Valley Medical Clinic in Mesa, which opened its doors this week! 🩺❤️
SVdP CEO Shannon Clancy joined by key community partners ASU Health, Creighton University, Mayo Clinic, Banner Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, Willmeng Construction, and Vehr/Webb Studio Architects & Artists came together for a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the opening of the new clinic and the expanded access to health care it will provide for our community!
The 10,100-square-foot space is a transformed former thrift store that will provide free preventative and specialty care to uninsured and underserved Arizonans, offering access to more than 30 medical specialties made available through volunteer providers and partnerships.
“Our new East Valley Medical Clinic means more availability, greater access to care, and more lives returned to health for a patient population that often has to put family bills, groceries, gas, childcare and more before caring for themselves,” said SVdP CEO Shannon Clancy. “With the help of our community partners, we are so grateful that we can say ‘Yes’ more often now and provide hardworking members of our community with the care they need to thrive.”
The clinic will also serve as a training site for students from ASU Health, Creighton University and Mayo Clinic, helping prepare the next generation of health care professionals through hands-on experience rooted in compassionate care.
We’re grateful to the donors, volunteers and partners who are helping make this new chapter possible, and we look forward to seeing the life-saving impact the clinic will have on thousands of lives.
