It's been 24 days since the theft of a catalytic converter and more, two news stories, donations from both longtime friends and complete strangers. Check Your Head, the mobile barber shop and peer support bus is back on the road!

I am so l deeply filled with gratitude for the generosity and support I have been given during this traumatic event.

Now it's time to do BIG things in 2026!

Fun Fact:
In Peanuts, Charlie Brown's dad was a Barber. I bought this strip from the Charles Schultz Gallery when my son started grade school. It was Schultz's nod to his own father who was a barber.

A New Year’s catalytic converter theft has sidelined a mobile barbershop that provided more than 1,200 free haircuts to people experiencing homelessness across the Phoenix area.

On New Year’s Day, thieves crawled under a converted van and stole its catalytic converter, rendering the mobile barber shop that serves people experiencing homelessness inoperable and bringing the nonprofit’s mission to a sudden halt.
