Once Upon A Star

Once Upon A Star Once Upon a Star is a non-profit collective of exceptional young adults with special needs who partic Suddenly, there were 35 orders for such beaded stars!

It all began on a Saturday morning in an art class for young adults with some very special needs. The project involved beads, a wire frame, simple instructions, and the skills of a local artist and a teaching team. The artist and teaching team harnessed a desire to share their time in order to build a structured social and work environment for those young adults. Together they created a unique item, a beaded star that was immediately noticed by a parent and taken to a local children's hospital. And Once Upon A Star was born.

Our May class was called Step’s Junk Funk. Our friends Step and Lisa introduced us to all different types of items that could produce percussion sounds . We “played “ metal kettles, tubes, plastic eggs, pipes, hoses, large buckets and various other sound items For fun, we composed our own musical compositions. We had a great time . Thank you Step and Lisa🎼
