🌻 This Sunflower Took Me Three Months to Finish.

Not because it was difficult.

Because life happened.

In between starting this painting at a self-care event in March with OCJ Kids and finishing it today, Lifeology has responded to youth in crisis at 3 a.m., housed young people with nowhere else to go, answered Safe Place calls, navigated staffing changes, managed growing community needs, and faced one of the most challenging funding gaps in our organization’s history.

The reality is that many nonprofits across our country are experiencing similar challenges right now.

Funding streams are changing.
Contracts are delayed.
Grants are uncertain.
Yet the needs of the people we serve have not slowed down.

Behind every nonprofit are staff members who continue showing up, often before the funding arrives, because they believe the mission matters.

Behind every shelter bed, every meal served, every counseling session, every youth housed, every family supported, and every life changed is a team of people choosing service over comfort.

Today, I finished this sunflower as a reminder that even during difficult seasons, growth continues.

The petals represent the people who keep showing up.
The stem represents resilience.
And the bloom reminds us that hope is still possible.

If there has ever been a time to support the organizations serving your community, it is now.

Whether it’s a donation, volunteer hour, shared social media post, corporate sponsorship, board service, or simply helping tell their story—your support matters.

Because while funding gaps are real, so is the impact being made every day.

To every nonprofit leader, frontline worker, volunteer, donor, and advocate navigating uncertainty right now:

🌻 Keep growing.
🌻 Keep serving.
🌻 Keep believing.
🌻 What you started is worth finishing.

🎉 Meet Tyler: A Face Behind the Mission 🎉

At Lifeology, we often share statistics, outcomes, and program milestones—but today with his permission we wanted to put a face to the work.

This is Tyler.

Today, Tyler celebrates his 19th birthday, but what we’re really celebrating is everything he’s accomplished since turning 18.

Just one year ago, Tyler was facing housing instability as he aged out of care. Today, he is a young man who has:

✅ Maintained stable housing for an entire year
✅ Paid his rent consistently for 12 consecutive months
✅ Purchased his own vehicle
✅ Started building his own business
✅ Continued working toward his high school diploma
✅ Developed greater independence, confidence, and responsibility

What makes Tyler’s story even more special is that he isn’t just benefiting from the program—he’s giving back to it.

As Lifeology works to create services that truly connect with young people, Tyler has been helping redesign our website to better reflect the voices, experiences, and needs of youth. It’s a perfect example of what happens when we move from serving young people to building alongside them.

For Youth. By Youth.

Tyler’s creativity, insight, and lived experience are helping shape how future youth will experience Lifeology.

And he’s just getting started.

Tyler’s goal is to officially launch his LLC before the end of the year and continue growing his skills in website design and digital development.

If you’re a business owner, nonprofit, church, or entrepreneur looking for website redesign services, consider supporting a young entrepreneur who is working hard to build his future.

Every opportunity matters. Every referral helps. Every share expands possibilities.

Today, we’re proud to celebrate not only Tyler’s birthday but the young leader, entrepreneur, and contributor he is becoming.

Happy 19th Birthday, Tyler! 🎂🎉

🎉 Happy 19th Birthday, Tyler! 🎉

Today marks more than just a birthday.

One year ago, Tyler turned 18 and found himself facing a situation that many young people aging out of foster care fear most—uncertainty.

The group home where he had been living informed him they could no longer house him, and while his Extended Foster Care (EFC) and transitional housing arrangements were in progress, there was a gap. A gap that could have easily led to homelessness.

But Tyler knew he had someone he could call.

He reached out to “Miss Zaneta,” and together with his EFC team, Lifeology worked quickly to secure housing and coordinate transportation so he would have a safe place to stay while the system caught up with his needs.

That decision changed the trajectory of his year.

Since moving into Lifeology Shared Housing, Tyler has:

✅ Maintained stable housing for an entire year
✅ Paid his rent consistently for 12 months
✅ Purchased his own vehicle
✅ Started his own business
✅ Continued working toward his high school diploma
✅ Built greater independence, responsibility, and confidence

These accomplishments belong to Tyler. His determination, resilience, and commitment to building a better future made them possible.

But his story is also a reminder of why transitional housing matters.

When young people have a safe place to live, supportive adults in their corner, and opportunities to grow, they can focus on education, employment, financial responsibility, and achieving goals that once felt out of reach.

At Lifeology, we believe every young person deserves the chance to thrive—not just survive.

Today we celebrate Tyler’s birthday, his one-year housing anniversary, and the incredible future he is creating for himself.

Please join us in congratulating him on all he has accomplished. We couldn’t be more proud.

💙 Housing. Hope. Futures.

Mother’s Day can feel complicated for many young people experiencing homelessness, separation, loss, trauma, or distance from family. Today, we want every youth and young adult to know this:

You are seen.
You are valuable.
You are worthy of love, stability, and support.

Whether today brings joy, grief, silence, or healing — your story still matters. Family can look different, and sometimes the people who become “mothers” in our lives are mentors, shelter staff, teachers, friends, grandmothers, community members, or those who simply chose to show up.

At Lifeology AZ, we remain committed to creating safe places, supportive housing, and opportunities for youth and young adults to heal, grow, and thrive.

To every young person navigating today alone:
You are not forgotten. Better days are ahead. 💙
