The Marcella Kochanska Sembrich Female Chorus meets Monday evenings at the Associated Polish Home from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, singing primarily in Polish, but not exclusively. Organized in 1988 as a successor to the legendary Paderewski Choral Society, the award-winning chorus is a member of the Polish Singers Alliance of America, District 7. Rehearsals are on Monday evenings at the Associated Polish Home (9150 Academy Road, Philadelphia) from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, usually from September through May. The Chorus’ repertoire includes traditional folk songs, classical music, patriotic hymns and Christmas carols. Under the direction of Mr. David Zagorski, the Chorus sings primarily in Polish, but not exclusively. New members are always welcome! No audition is required, and all types of voices are appreciated. Women in the chorus sing soprano, second soprano, or alto.
