More often then not , your phone should detect the Aurora without needing to use these steps, but if you're having trouble getting that perfect picture, here's aliitle help. Look for the Northern lights tonight after sunset and onwards. We should see activity early on . Just remember that space weather is unpredictable and you may not see them until later in the night. Don't give up. Good luck everyone!

Aurora watch. Northern lights are possible tonight . I've already got some great pictures and you can too! You may not see them with your naked eye but you can catch them with your smartphone. Take a walk outside and open your camera app, you might be able to catch a picture! We would love to see them if you do! Share them in the comments.

Orion is one of the most recognizable constellations in our night sky and it's a radient point for one of the most beautiful meteor showers of the year. The orionids peak overnight tonight boasting up to 20 meteors an hour. Meteor showers are debris fields from comets. This particular comet is none other then Hailey s comet. While we can't observe the comet for awhile we can enjoy the beautiful shower. Best veiws are 2-4 am while you may catch them anytime after Orion rises. 10:30 eastern time . Wishing you clear skies
