Our civic association was thrilled to partner with Philadelphia Parks & Recreation and Rep. Pat Gallagher and Councilmember Mike Driscoll today to clean up the Pennypack Park picnic area along Frankford Avenue at the Ashburner and Solly intersetions, next to America's Oldest Roadway Bridge. Not only did we remove litter and debris, we did some much-needed w**d and vine removal. Many hands make light work. Thank you to all our volunteers!

The members of the Upper Holmesburg Civic Association offer our heartfelt concerns and prayers for the U.S.P.S. letter carrier who was injured on duty today in our neighborhood. He is a beloved member of the community and an excellent public servant, always willing to go the extra mile for us. We wish nothing but the best for him and his family.
