Today was a wonderful day for the PFD Fire/EMS Explorer program. We now have four additional Firefighters serving our communities. From Explorer Cadet to Fire Cadet and now Firefighters. We wish you a safe and prosperous career. Remember you are always part of the PFD Explorer Family.

Our PFD Explorers had such a great day. Fire side covered flow path fire science, hose line rolls, fire hydrants and engine practices. EMS covered the muscular skeletal system and medical terminology. Philadelphia Fire Department

PFD Fire/EMS Explorers had a great community service day with installation over 150 smoke alarms in North Philadelphia (District 7). Thank you to PFD Cat 1, Engine 50 and our parents association for inspiring our young and helping to keep our communities safe.

PFD Fire/EMS Explorers had a great training day with special guest from community partner, Alliance in Health, learning about the benefits of a career in EMS. Explorers also completed their physical agility test and were issued their equipment for the 2026 Fire/EMS curriculum. PFD Explorers are Community Focused and Response Ready!!
