PFD Fire/EMS Explorers had a great community service day with installation over 150 smoke alarms in North Philadelphia (District 7). Thank you to PFD Cat 1, Engine 50 and our parents association for inspiring our young and helping to keep our communities safe.

PFD Recruitment is gearing up for the upcoming 2026 Fire/EMS Explorer orientation dates. We have over 400 candidates registered to attend orientation this month. We are so excited for the new season. Applications are closed, but if you already applied check your emails to register for your orientation date.

The PFD Fire/EMS Explorers will be closing our program interest form on Monday January 6th to get ready for the 2026 season. If you are a young adult ages 14-20 interested in public safety careers check out our program. Program orientation dates will be a few weeks so don’t forget to apply now!
