🚨📣IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

Holmesburg Civic Association will NOT be hosting a meeting on Tuesday, May 12th.

We want to encourage as many of our neighbors as possible to attend the Budget Town Hall with Mayor Cherelle L. Parker and Councilmember Mike Driscoll at Thomas Holme Elementary School to learn about how the city budget will work for you!

Our families have been chosen for our adopt a family for the holidays, we are thankful to be able to brighten the season for some kids this year. Please remember to support the civic, if you can come to meetings and get involved we always need more active members. Next year we hope to be able to provide for more families within our community.

See everyone on Tuesday December 9th at the Holmesburg Rec Center! Bring some dollars for raffle tickets to win some nice prizes which supports the civic and our ability to host and sponsor events such as the thanksgiving parade, our adopt a family for the holidays, civic student of the year awards, keep up with technology for meetings in the hybrid age, and more. Most importantly come, chat, have some dinner, join our association and find out how you can be more involved.

Happy Holidays!

This year Holmesburg Civic Association will be selecting 2 (two) families to adopt for the holidays to receive a $250 gift certificate to Target or Walmart. Must live within the civic association boundaries and send email applying to [email protected]. Please list your name, how many children you have, and your economic hardship as well as your address to verify you reside within our boundaries before December 12th. Within the email also let us know if you prefer target or Walmart if chosen.

Like to give a shout out to a neighboring business. The owner is really sweet, just patched up my kids shoe (although she doesn’t usually patch shoes I just needed the velco sewn back on.) They are open Monday through Saturday 2pm-11pm. She does minor alterations as well. Highly recommend if you need any professional cleaning or laundering service. Located in Frankford Ave near Academy Road across from the Wawa.
