Live to Serve is a non profit, organized to be an extension of a life long desire to help others. Since I was a child, I would tag along with my parents as they sought to meet the needs of others. It didn't matter how long it took to get there, how often an individual would need help, how much it cost, or where it was located-my parents were willing to give, serve and sacrifice. It's amazing how o

ne small act of kindness can impact an individual's life. The gesture not only has an affect on the individual, but resonates with the giver or person performing the task. Mother Teresa said, "No act of kindness, however small is ever wasted". Each day, I ask God to help me to be His hands and feet, as I make up the gap in the lives of others. We want to impact lives, by caring for their needs and serving faithfully, one person at a time.

Leaning In

We were blessed with beautiful weather and an even greater opportunity to lean in and serve our friends in Kensington.
In the busyness of life, sometimes all it takes is a moment to step into someone else’s story, listen, encourage, and lend a hand where you can. Small acts of compassion can make a lasting impact.
As we prepare to wrap up our time serving in Kensington for the year, we invite you to join us next month. Come serve, give, encourage, and be part of bringing hope to the community.

The Moms

We held our annual A Night for Mom event, honoring single mothers and the strength, sacrifice, and love they pour into their families every day. While raising children, working, providing, and carrying the weight of so much responsibility, they continue to show up with resilience and determination. Although, not easy! We want every mother who attended to know this: We see you. We hear you. We appreciate you.
A special thank you to our incredible Serve Team, our pastry crew Amanda and Ellie, and Epic Church for helping make this evening meaningful and memorable.

Arts & Wellness 🎨❤️‍🩹

Today, we created space for students in Frankford to be seen, heard, and supported through art, honest expressions, games and fun. Their smiles told the story. This impactful work only happens because people choose to invest.
We’re calling on donors, volunteers, and community partners to join and help us reach more youth and deepen this impact. Applauding this moment is appreciated, but I encourage you to be part of what makes it possible.

The Kids

Today we held a soft launch for our Breakfast with the Kids youth program. Empowering youth with knowledge and community, incorporating nutrition, education, emotional well-being, social awareness, and interactive engagement.

The mission is clear: Show up for our youth in a real way. Not just by providing breakfast, but by offering consistency, care, and a space where they know they matter.
Many of our youth are navigating more than they should have to at their age. Programs like this help shift that, one breakfast, one conversation, one connection at a time.
If you believe in investing in the next generation, there’s room for you here. We’re building something that will require community, partnership, and support to grow and sustain.
We’ve started. Now we build.

Spread the Love 💌

We spend time at the Chestnut Hill Terrace spreading Valentine’s Day Love to the residents. We provided a care package and most of all quality time hearing their stories. A special thank you to Deidre, are awesome. Serve Team and Temple University family.

In the snow ☃️

We began the year with our Kensington Engagement Project/ MLK Day of Caring/Give Back Day. It was a cold and snowy day, but, it did not stop our team from the mission. We gave away special items, food, clothes, hats, scarves, and gloves. We also encountered a few medical emergencies, and were attentive until the response team arrived.
Consider joining us next month, and be a part of impacting the lives of so many individuals.
