We’re thrilled to announce that our chapter is launching a program that will help strengthen NAHN’s values and help exemplify nursing leadership.

The purpose of NAHN Contigo is to foster and strengthen leadership through collaboration and familismo. Through this voluntary program, participants are paired to enhance personal and professional skills, identify and achieve both short- and long-term goals, and support NAHN’s mission.

The energy from the Super Bowl was still in the air this morning during the keynote and it carried with us throughout the entire day here on Capitol Hill at the Hispanic Health Policy Summit.

As members of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN) Philadelphia Chapter, we are here embracing our responsibility as Latina nurses advocating, learning, and using our voices to advance health equity for the communities we serve.

Grateful for a powerful first day filled with education, collaboration, purpose, and advocacy. This is what leadership in action looks like.

⭐Eligible Nursing Affiliates: non-member unlicensed healthcare personnel (certified nursing assistants, medical assistants, patient care technicians, etc.). Nursing affiliates support the mission of NAHN and are interested in exploring career opportunities in the nursing profession.

🎉 Congratulations to our nursing graduate, Itzel De Leon-Hernandez! 🎓💛

Itzel has earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with a minor in Public Health from La Salle University! Let’s wish her the best of luck as she prepares to take the NCLEX 📚🌟

During her time at La Salle University, she served as Chapter President of the nursing organization and completed internships with both the Independence Blue Cross Foundation and Main Line Health. 🙌🏽

We’re incredibly proud of all she has accomplished and can’t wait to see all the amazing things she’ll do next! 💫
