Our weekly hiring event is every Wednesday at Delaware Valley Veterans’ Home! Come out and interview for vacant positions in our Nursing, Custodial, and Dietary departments.

Our Quartermaster Don Campanile and I today made the detachment's annual donation to the Elevator Constructors Union Local 5's "A Lift For A Vet" program.
This awesome group installs free chair lifts for veterans and/or their spouses. They install all new equipment - nothing used.

The elevator union members with us are Doug Kirkwood (1st photo) & Sean Deery (2nd photo). Sean Loomis is our main contact for chairlifts, but he wasn't there today.
They were very appreciative of our donation.

The donation was for $500 which I increased to $800 using some of the money from the USMC/USN 250th Anniversary challenge coins many of you bought late last year. So thank you to all who purchased some coins.

One of their major fund raisers is a golf outing scheduled for August 31, 2026 at Seaview Golf & Hotel Resort in Galloway, NJ.
It's a 9:00 AM Shotgun Start
Price: $250 per golfer

It's one of Jersey's premier courses. There will be unlimited snacks and beverages on the course and a luncheon after.
