🗳️ From empowerment to action! ✊🏾

PA Youth Vote attended “Moving from Empowerment to Action: Ensuring a Free and Fair Election in November,” an event focused on protecting our democracy, celebrating civic engagement, and preparing communities for the upcoming election.

We were honored to be recognized for our work educating and engaging young people in civic participation. 💙💛

The Committee of Seventy and League of Women Voters shared important information on how attendees can prepare for the upcoming election and take action to strengthen our democracy. Congresswoman Madeleine Dean also spoke with attendees about the current state of our democracy and the importance of staying engaged.

We’re proud to continue empowering young people with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to make their voices heard. 🗳️📣

🗳️🚍 Do you know The Voting Journey?

At Roosevelt High School 🏫 PAYV & Partners helped educate students about the voting journey by bringing students through an interactive, step-by-step experience designed to help them understand the voting process from beginning to end. Students registered to vote, learned about obtaining voter ID, explored information about the candidates, applied to become poll workers, and had opportunities to reflect on the issues and values that matter to them. ✨

Students also got hands on experience with a sample ballot 🗳️ and an actual voting machine provided by Montgomery County Voter Services. City Council representatives and a Montgomery County Commissioner joined students for small group listening sessions, creating space for young people to share their perspectives and ask questions.

From registration to the ballot box, the Voting Journey helps students understand the process and prepares them to participate in their communities. 💙💛

🎤✨ Pittsburgh Public Schools students are ready to advocate!

PA Youth Vote was honored to host a series of Student Leadership Workshops for student advisory board members from across the district. Students explored the importance of using their voices and learned about young leaders who made history through advocacy and civic engagement.

Throughout the workshops, students had the opportunity to reflect on the issues they care about and think about how they can use their voices to create change in their schools and communities.

We’re excited to see these young leaders continue to speak up, get involved, and make their voices heard! 💙💛
