GGAA Minnesota Chapter Hosts First-of-Its-Kind Youth Meet & Greet, Announces New Youth Leadership

As the One Union, One Grand Gedeh vision continues to take firm root across the diaspora, the Minnesota Chapter of the Grand Gedeh Association in the Americas (GGAA) has once again positioned itself at the forefront of purposeful community leadership.

The chapter’s historic Youth Meet & Greet, the first of its kind in Minnesota, was widely hailed as a success, signaling a renewed commitment to youth inclusion, unity, and strategic leadership development within the Grand Gedeh community.

Under the leadership of Chapter President Helen Tarley, who recently assumed the helm, the Minnesota Chapter has undergone a remarkable resurgence. Once viewed as a chapter with untapped potential, Minnesota is now experiencing a reinvigorated sense of purpose, direction, and collective responsibility. President Tarley’s stewardship has sparked renewed confidence among members and a clear resolve that the chapter will never return to its most challenging moments.

During the Meet & Greet, President Tarley formally announced the appointment of Mr. Daciouse Yah as Youth Chairperson of the GGAA Minnesota Chapter, with Madam Danielle Rue named Youth Co-Chairperson. Both appointees are members of the National Youth Committee and will jointly oversee youth affairs, programming, and engagement efforts throughout the state.

With this appointment, Minnesota becomes the second chapter within GGAA to formally establish a youth leadership structure—following Texas, which previously set the pace with the appointment of Madam Cecelia Ninneh as Youth Chairperson. Together, these chapters are leading by example and boldly advancing the One Union, One Grand Gedeh framework, setting a standard for others across the Union to follow.

The evening was further distinguished by the presence of Hon. Nehemiah Garley, a proud son of Grand Gedeh and a declared candidate for the Minnesota State Senate. Hon. Garley delivered words of encouragement to the young people in attendance, emphasizing the importance of civic engagement, community service, and youth participation in shaping both local and broader political outcomes.

The success of the Minnesota Youth Meet & Greet also reflects the growing influence of National Youth Chairman David Nyanue, whose leadership continues to inspire chapter administrations to meaningfully integrate youth into governance, planning, and ex*****on across the Union.

On behalf of the National Youth Committee, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Daciouse Yah and Madam Danielle Rue on their respective appointments, and express sincere appreciation to President Helen Tarley and the Minnesota Chapter leadership for taking this decisive step toward strengthening our beloved Union and empowering the next generation.

Dear Prospective Bidders,

On behalf of the Project Committee of the Grand Gedeh Association in the Americas (GGAA), we extend our sincere appreciation for your interest and inquiries regarding the Construction of the Grand Gedeh Community Multipurpose Park Project.

Please find attached the updated bid documents, along with a revised submission deadline. After careful review, the Project Committee has approved the Design-Build delivery model for this project.

Design-Build Approach
This project will be executed through a Design-Build model, an efficient and modern project delivery system in which a single contractor is responsible for both design and construction. Under this method, the selected firm will:

Develop architectural and engineering designs
Obtain all required permits and approvals
Construct the project in accordance with the approved plans and specifications

This integrated approach supports innovation, streamlines schedules, enhances cost control, and improves accountability by assigning full project responsibility to a single qualified entity.

Revised Submission Deadline:
November 17, 2025 at 4:00 PM GMT

We look forward to receiving your proposals and appreciate your commitment to partnering with us in advancing this important community initiative.
