We are proud to announce the opening of Jeff’s Place, a new Residential Treatment Facility for Adults (RTFA) serving adults with a Behavioral Health Diagnosis and who also have a Developmental Disability (BHDD).
Located on the campus of Friends Hospital in Northeast Philadelphia, Jeff’s Place will serve as a bridge for individuals transitioning from long-term psychiatric hospitals or other institutional settings into community-based living. This short-term treatment program will be a space where individuals, who have already been accepted into a community program, learn the skills needed for a successful transition into their next home. The goal is also for individuals to establish a positive relationship with peers and staff at their community home.
Jeff’s Place holds an especially meaningful place in PATH’s history. The program is named in honor of Jeff Brown, a longtime member of the PATH family who served as PATH’s Chief Operating Officer and Board Treasurer. With over 40 years of service, Jeff’s commitment and advocacy have made a lasting impact on PATH and the people we serve.
We are honored to carry Jeff’s legacy forward through a program dedicated to creating opportunities, supporting successful transitions, and fulfilling our mission of helping individuals achieve a more independent and fulfilling life. We look forward to the important work that will take place at Jeff’s Place and to the lives that will be impacted on for years to come.
