💙 TEAM TEAL SPOTLIGHT: KEVIN STAPLES 💙
It’s more than a race. His impact goes far beyond the finish line.
If there’s a challenge ahead, chances are Kevin Staples is ready to take it on — but for Kevin, it has never been about collecting medals or crossing finish lines. It’s about his mom - Sharon Drucker.
Kevin has carried her memory with him across the world while raising awareness and critical funds for the ovarian cancer cause.
He has represented Team Teal at the Boston, Berlin, New York City, Sydney and Dublin Marathons, as well as the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon. He’s biked the TD Five Boro Bike Tour, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, and trekked around Ausangate in Peru - all for the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.
And he’s not finished.
Tomorrow, Kevin will line up for the Chicago Half Marathon, followed next month by the Philadelphia Half Marathon.
Why does he keep going? - For his mom. And with the hope that the awareness and funds he raises will help create a future where no other family has to experience the loss his family did.
Kevin’s dedication to this mission is extraordinary. He continues to turn his love of endurance and adventure into opportunities to tell his story, honor his mom, raise awareness, and make a difference for the ovarian cancer community.
So tomorrow, running in the CHICAGO HALF MARATHON - let’s cheer LOUD for Kevin! 💙
