Do I need to own my own motorcycle? We have a fleet of beginner-friendly training bikes that we will provide you.
Do I get my motorcycle license? The Basic Rider Course (BRC) is the only licensing course we offer. Upon successful completion of the Skill Evaluation test at the end of Day 2, you will receive a card
that states you passed the DMV riding test. You will still need to take the written portion through the DMV before they will issue your license.
What prerequisites are required to take a course? The only required prerequisite is that you know how to proficiently ride a bicycle.
How old do I have to be to take a class? We can take them as young as 14 years old! However, please note that the completion card that is issued upon successful completion of the course is only good for one year. This means if a 14-year-old completes the course, the card will expire before they are of licensing age (16 years old) and will need to take the riding test again to obtain their endorsement.
Can I pay with a check or cash? Yes, feel free to call or email us at [email protected] to discuss your options. What if I show up late for class? Class goes on without you and you will not be allowed to come in late. You will have to reschedule and pay a $75 rescheduling fee. There is no guarantee of availability of another class. DON’T BE LATE!! What if it rains? This is a rain or shine course. Some time in your riding experience, you will be caught in the rain. If it looks like rain, bring some gear. What do I need to bring? Helmet (we have a few loaner helmets, not enough to go around). Eye protection, sunglasses, prescription glasses, goggles, safety glasses, or a face shield on your helmet. Long sleeves, jacket, sweatshirt, etc., arms must be covered. Gloves, full-fingered. Long pants that aren’t baggy. Over the ankle footwear, no canvas sneakers. Raingear, if it looks like rain. Your own water and snacks, we provide portable toilets. Do I need the DMV issued Learners Permit? No Learners Permit is required, but it is strongly encouraged. All riders must still take the written exam through the DMV before receiving their license, but the written exam can be taken after the rider course.
