Thank you to everyone who visited our annual Japanese Culture Night yesterday evening! We had an amazing time singing, dancing, and eating delicious food 🍲 Special thanks to our spectacular Oshkosh Taiko friends and faculty for bringing the beat! 🎶

Congratulations to our Club Liaison, Sakura Nobukiyo! 🔥
She was part of a very special double-selection tonight at the UWO Student Leadership Award Ceremony! For the first time ever, two Unsung Hero Awards were presented instead of just one; Sakura was chosen for her dedication to club growth through marketing and media 🤩🎉 We also had the pleasure of watching former Club Nippon President, Raiden Montero receive his award for 2025-26 Advisor of the Year!
Congratulations to ALL the outstanding winners at tonight’s ceremony, here’s to another amazing year! 🥳

Join us Friday, May 8th from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM in Reeve Union 202 (748 Algoma Blvd) for our annual Japanese Culture Night! Our friends and faculty from Oshkosh Taiko will be performing a variety of taiko drum ensembles + demonstrating Bon Odori (盆踊り), a traditional Japanese dance with over 500 years of history!
Plus, we’ll be serving freshly imported rice and miso soup 🍲 Don’t miss out on an amazing night of musical performances and traditional Japanese culture!

We were invited to the 2026 Crafts & Cultures event hosted by UW-Oshkosh Reeve Union Board (RUB) yesterday 😁✌🏼 Students stopped by our tables to design chopsticks, then moved onto other activities like diamond painting with UW-Oshkosh Hmong Student Union or flower making with Chicano and Latinx Studies + more! Our hardworking officers took a well-deserved dinner break with pizza, BBQ wings, and other goodies 🍕

Over 100 people, 35lb of strawberries, 150 shortcakes, and 3 gallons of fresh whipped cream later, 2026 Strawberry Festival was a H I T 🙌🏼🔥 Our hardworking officers took a break mid-way through for some soup, salad, & breadsticks—catering provided by Olive Garden Oshkosh, yum!

A BIG thanks to International Students Associations UW-Oskosh for collaborating with us yesterday, we couldn’t have done it without your support—thank you so much!

Students, thank YOU for bracing the Wisconsin weather to come learn about and try some Japanese-inspired treats! We’ll see you in a few weeks for our first April meeting, Crafts & Cultures ✌🏼

THIS WEEK 🇯🇵🍓 STRAWBERRY FEST RETURNS
Join us this week Wednesday, March 18th from 6:00-7:30 PM in Reeve Union 212 as we celebrate the season of strawberries in Japan! We'll be collaborating with International Students Associations UW-Oskosh (ISA) this year to bring you an even bigger, more exciting event than 2025 😁 With delicious desserts like fresh cream and berries, strawberry shortcake, and lemonade, it'll be a berry-sweet way to close out these first seven weeks! Plus, loads of themed activities for you and your friends to try, don't miss out!

Happy Saturday! We spent the afternoon at Green Bay’s Lambeau Field for a leadership workshop hosted by UWO’s Multicultural Student Coalition 🏈 Dr. Joshua Fredenburg guided students through a variety of fun, challenging activities and helped everyone curate their very own “leadership style statement.” We ended the afternoon with a stadium tour and some well-deserved refreshments at 1919 Kitchen & Tap!

We had our first meeting of the semester this evening—Anime Trivia Night! 📝 Two rounds of intense challenges and six winners later, we closed out the night with some Sanrio & Valentine’s Day-themed prizes for everyone who played!
