Operation Not Alone

Operation Not Alone Operation Not Alone is a national organization with locations in Madison and Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin and Buffalo, New York. They all deserve to be thanked.

Message from the Creator

This is so much more than a non-profit organization. This is a devotion and a tremendous thank you to everyone who has ever served our great nation. However, this whole notion is in honor of my father: Sgt. Donald Fochs of the United States Marine Corps. My father was blessed enough to come home with his life but it wasn't without a hefty price. Today he is 66 years old a

nd 100% disabled. With over 22 million people in the United States having served in the military, the chances of knowing a military person is incredibly high. Operation Not Alone is exactly that: a thank you to our nation's bravest.

They served with courage,
believing in a dream.
We carry their memory—
and the burden of unfinished justice.

If you have someone in your life that has served or has lost their life while serving, use today as your reminder to thank them for their service or honor their death with remembrance.

The ONA Team is thrilled to announce Natalie Popp as our new Director of Veteran Engagement 💛🖤

Natalie has a long history of advocating for veterans, sharing their stories, and engaging local communities in veteran support. From her time served in the Miss America Organization, to writing her own children’s book entitled “Lew for the Red, White, and Blue” and volunteering at ONA events in the past, we could not be luckier or more honored to have her join our board!

She has a pure heart for service and energy to serve veterans across the country that is simply unmatched. We can’t wait to see what she accomplishes in this role!

Welcome to the team, Natalie!

12 years ago today, we officially became a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

The world has changed all around us, but the intended impact of these 6 services still remain 🖤💛

For those who have volunteered, supported, donated, shared, or served in these last 12 years, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for believing in what we do and the heart of where this came from.

We could have never imagined today that we would be where we are now 📦

We are still soaking in the magic from the Black & Gold Gala! Everyone who made that night possible deserves a moment of dedication, but to start, I must thank our event sponsors:

To Brandy and MISSION BBQ – next to the cause, the food is the main part of any event like this. And my goodness, to have Mission BBQ – literally the most “match-made-in-heaven” pairing for our catering was incredible! Not only was it a massive hit with all of our guests, but the alignment of our mutual mission was perfection. I can’t thank you enough for providing the BBQ for the gala!

To New Glarus Brewing Co. – when you think of beer, nothing is more “iconically Wisconsin” than a good old Spotted Cow! Thank you so much for your incredible contribution of our beer! It was an absolute treat to be able to serve Spotted Cow, Moon Man, and The Pilsner to our guests all night long!

To Tito's Handmade Vodka and Breakthru Beverage of Wisconsin – our signature “Gold Ribbon Cocktail” was a star of the evening! Thank you so much for your generous donation of your craft vodka and the ability to make our bar a signature station of the gala!

To Tamara and Tamara's the Cake Guru – thank you for providing the sweetest moment of the night! Your cupcakes have been an Oshkosh staple ever since you opened your doors and to be able to serve those at the end of the night was a dream for us. We have loved being able to partner with you in various ways over the years and having your cupcakes (in black and gold liners!) was such a dream – thank you!

To Hy-Vee Ashwaubenon – thank you for providing our delicious appetizer table! It was the perfect (and tastiest) way for our guests to begin the evening!

To Costco Wholesale Green Bay – thank you for generously sponsoring our remaining bar fare, sodas, and (then upgraded + branded) bottled water! One of our goals was to have every detail covered at the gala and your donation certainly helped to make that possible!

To Erin and Dom from Kendra Scott in Hilldale Madison – crafting our very own “Black and Gold Collection” in your store a few months ago was a dream come true. To see people light up when they got to choose their pieces and shop for good all night long was incredible to see!

To Bee Bella – the lip balms were a perfect addition to our event gift bags and the sweetest nod to each of our founding cities!

To Vicki and Door County Coffee – your support over the years has been insurmountable. You have been a part of ONA since the beginning. From your physical volunteer hours to the creation of our (now iconic) Heroes Blend and Veterans Blend coffees, to your constant cheerleader mentality, to actually being in attendance for gala night, you have been an invaluable component to who Operation Not Alone is. It was an honor and a privilege to send out your coffee in our Veteran Cheer Packages once again this year AND to serve Heroes Blend Coffee in our gift bags for every guest in attendance that night. Vicki, there will never be enough words for our gratitude to you!

To my sweet Casey and Fire & Flame Creative, as evidenced below, you have an incredible ability to capture genuine moments. Thank you for gifting us your talents all night long and for the moving video presentation featured throughout the night.

THANK YOU TO ALL! We rang in 11 years of ONA and it would not have happened without each and every one of you!
