travispastrana hosted BREW WATCHES , the winners of our Pastranaland auction experience last weekend, and the Block family joined in for a full day at the ranch.

Backflips, go-karts, and Travis being Travis. Safe to say nobody left disappointed. 🤘

Big news: for the first time ever, 43 Institute is throwing The 43i Block Party, a car show and fundraiser honoring Ken Block’s legacy.

Join us Saturday, September 26th from 4 to 10 PM at The Shops at South Town (Southtown Mall) in Sandy, UT. We’ll have a 43i booth on-site, so come say hi, and all proceeds from the event go directly to 43 Institute.

The 43i Block Party is happening September 26th, and Ken Block’s Cossie V2 will be one of the cars there.

Before the world knew it existed, Ken and Alex were quietly testing it out in the desert, no livery, no fanfare, just the two of them and the car. This will be its first time out at a public event, and it’s only one piece of what we’ve got lined up. Stay tuned for the full reveal.

Meet the board: Alastair Binks

Ken Block built the spark. Alastair Binks helped build what could hold it.

Alastair joined Hoonigan as Co-CEO in 2017, right as the brand was growing from a content channel into a full operating company. While Ken stayed the face of the movement, Alastair ran the business side: partnerships, distribution, the infrastructure that let Ken keep racing and creating without the company falling apart around him.

That kind of work rarely gets the spotlight, and it isn’t supposed to. It’s what makes everything else possible.

Alastair brings that same steadiness to 43i as our board Treasurer, managing the financial foundation the way he once managed Hoonigan’s, so the organization built on Ken’s legacy has the structure to actually last.

We just called John to tell him he won the TAXI GARAGE cart, and his reaction was exactly what we hoped for.

Taxi Garage built this cart with custom paint and livery to match Lia’s GR Corolla, and it was one of our flash prizes during the sweepstakes. John has been a Ken fan for a long time, and getting to make that call was one of our favorites yet.

Huge thanks to Taxi Garage for building something this good and for teaming up with us on it. 🤘

Meet the board: Jeff Pensiero

Jeff Pensiero founded Baldface Lodge, the backcountry operation in Nelson, British Columbia that became one of the most sought-after places to ride in the world.

He grew up in Cleveland, which he credits for making him resilient and unafraid to lose and come back stronger. He worked as a tech rep for K2 and moved through the Tahoe snowboard scene before mortgaging everything he had at 26 to buy a piece of a mountain in Canada. It started as a handful of trailers.

For the Block family, Baldface stopped being a business relationship a long time ago. Ken, Lucy, and the kids spent Christmas up there with the Pensieros year after year, and Jeff hosted Ken for projects that pushed at what a vehicle could do in deep snow.

Ken called him the ultimate brother. Jeff will tell you the same thing about Ken, that he was the guy who picked up the phone, made the introduction, and helped people behind the scenes without needing anyone to know about it.

That is the part Jeff wants to keep going. He is on this board because helping people quietly was the whole point, and somebody has to keep doing it.
