A huge THANK YOU to Strata Family Law for supporting Building Through Play – The Great Build Off! 🧱✨

Community support is what makes it possible for the Child Care Action Council to provide free early learning programs, early childhood professional training, and accessible child care resources to families.

Because of this generous sponsor, kids and families will have a wonderful day of hands-on, STEAM-focused play and creative building at Capitol Mall!

We are so grateful for your investment in our local children, families, and early learning communities. 💙

🔍 Finding quality child care just got a whole lot easier for Washington families!

Whether you’re looking for infant care, preschool programs, or before-and-after school options, searching for the right fit for your family can feel overwhelming. That’s why we’re excited to share a fantastic resource: the new Child Care Finder Tool!

Child Care Finder is a comprehensive statewide search platform featuring over 6,500 licensed early care and education sites across Washington state.

Why families and providers love it:
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 For Families: Easily search, filter, and compare high-quality, local early learning options in your area all in one place.

🏫 For Providers: Connect directly with local families who are actively searching for open spots in your community.

Every child deserves a safe, nurturing place to learn and grow. Start your search today or share this post with a friend or neighbor who is looking for child care!

🚨 ACTION ALERT: Stand Up for Head Start & Early Learning in WA State!

Every child deserves access to quality, affordable early education, but critical supports for our youngest learners and working families are under threat.

Proposed federal changes to Head Start standards could result in fewer services, reduced support and safety, and lower-quality early childhood education for children across Washington State and the nation.

We need your voice to help protect local families—and time is running out!

How You Can Take Action Today:
1️⃣ Submit a Public Comment by October 6th:

Use the quick advocacy tool created by our partners at the Washington State Association of Head Start & ECEAP to tell the administration to withdraw this proposal and protect our children.

2️⃣ Spread the Word:

Share this post with fellow parents, early learning providers, and community advocates who care about the future of early childhood education in Washington!
