Gardening in the era of climate change is no small feat! Each season brings a new challenge. Here in the PNW, you're likely wondering about how to handle the hot summer droughts, and perhaps the downpours of cold drawn-out springs. Understanding your soil is key to both!

Join us on Wednesday, July 1st to learn about at-home soil tests and how to understand and improve the conditions in your garden. We'll also discuss irrigation, heat stress, plant choices, and you'll have an opportunity to tour the GRuB farm and learn about what we are doing to increase resilience.

Today’s the day! GRuB's Market Stand is open for the season!

Stop by between 3:00-6:30 PM and support local youth by purchasing fresh, farm-grown produce. Every purchase helps support GRuB's programs and provides hands-on opportunities for youth to learn and connect through farming.

Today's harvest includes:
• Lettuce
• Kale
• Mustard greens
• Radishes

Plus, we have a limited selection of plant starts available! Find us every Wednesday from June through October. Can't wait to see you!

Thanks to everyone who came out for our first Wednesday on the Farm yesterday! 🌱

It was a lovely evening spent enjoying mocktails, volunteering, participating in farm tours, and learning during our Weeds 101 workshop. We had a great time sharing this beautiful space with all of you.

We’re excited to keep these gatherings going throughout the summer. Join us on July 1 and August 5 for the next Wednesdays on the Farm, featuring live music, volunteer opportunities, workshops, and more.

Summer evenings on the farm are back! ☀️

Join us on the first Wednesday of each month this summer for Wednesdays on the Farm at GRuB. Whether you want to get your hands in the soil during open volunteer hours, take a farm tour, learn something new at a workshop, get some starts at the plant sale, or enjoy mocktails and a food demo, there’s something for everyone!

Our first gathering is Wednesday, June 3, featuring:
✱ Open Volunteer Hours (5–7 PM)
✱ Farm Tours (5:30 & 6 PM)
✱ Mocktails + Food Demo (6–7 PM)
✱ GRuB Garden Workshop: Weeds 101 (6–8 PM)
✱ Plant Sale (5-7 PM)

The GRuB Youth Program Fundraising Evening scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday May 28th, has been canceled.

Join us instead on June 3rd from 5-7 pm for the first Wednesday on the Farm of the season! Come for a tour, hear youth program updates, see GRuB in action, experience a food demo. Decide how you can support GRuB's youth programs while you share a mocktail!

Weeds! The Sisyphean boulder every gardener battles. Come to GRuB this Wednesday and learn about how to identify, manage, and even turn weeds into a benefit for your garden or on your plate!

Topics include:
• Plant identification
• Tools and strategies for weeding
• What weeds tell us
• Edible weeds
• Cultural connections to the plants we call weeds
• Mulching and green water
• Making fermented plant juice fertilizer at home

Our 2026 Bouquet CSA share orders are open! Support our farm and youth program and get a beautiful farm-fresh, youth-made bouquet weekly on Wednesdays for 8 weeks.

When you invest in a bouquet share you are helping provide youth and young adults in our community with quality education and leadership development opportunities on the GRuB farm, through the responsibility of tending, harvesting, and assembling a desirable product. It is also as deeply nourishing for them to make them as it is for you to receive and cherish them.

The cost is $185 for 8 weeks of flowers. No delivery option is available. If you are not able to pick up in the timeframe listed below then your bouquet will be set out on the back porch with your name on it for you to grab.
