Think about your last vacation. What did you do? Who did you connect with while on vacation? How much better did you feel after vacation? More Relaxed? More connected with friends or family?
Now, imagine you have never been on vacation. How would you feel?
Now, imagine a foster child who has never been on vacation but is left in respite care or with an approved person to supervise them while their foster family goes on vacation. How do you think this makes the foster child feel?
Help Dream Non-Profit to help foster families be able to take foster children with them on vacation. We are trying to fix this problem so that all foster families don't have to worry about the extra cost of taking their foster child or children with them on vacation. Foster children should be able to make their dream of going on vacation with their foster families a reality and not just a dream.
