🕯️ September 11th — In Remembrance

Twenty‑five years later, we pause in quiet reflection for the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11th, 2001, and for the countless families, friends, and communities whose lives were changed forever.

Today is about memory, compassion, and honoring the strength and unity shown in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

We remember the loved ones who never came home, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the many survivors who still carry the weight of that day.

May their stories continue to be held with dignity, and may we never forget the humanity shown in the moments that followed.

🕰️ Timeline of Key Events (Eastern Daylight Time)

• 8:46 a.m. — North Tower struck

American Airlines Flight 11 crashes into the North Tower of the World Trade Center, between floors 93–99.

• 9:03 a.m. — South Tower struck

United Airlines Flight 175 crashes into the South Tower, between floors 77–85.

• 9:59 a.m. — South Tower collapses

The South Tower falls 56 minutes after being struck.

• 10:28 a.m. — North Tower collapses

The North Tower collapses 102 minutes after impact.

On Saturday, August 1st 2026, daughters of the Rainbow River Chapter, NSDAR, visited the America 250: Stars and Stripes — My Country, ’Tis of Thee exhibit at the Appleton Museum. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate American art, design, and the spirit of our nation as we look toward the 250th anniversary.
