🐾"Hey there, I'm Chawz. I am a striking-looking fellow with a silly underbite that I like to call charming! I am friendly, love people, and get along with other dogs as well. I came in originally as a stray from Marion County Animal Services , and now I'm ready for my next adventure!"

🐶Have you met "Chawz" at VOCAL? This two-year old Husky mixed breed is looking for his forever home, and our Kennel Manager Alyssa wants to share why this pup is going to make an awesome pet! 🤔

🏠If you want to help Chawz find the perfect home, then share this post to help this dashing doggo connect with a potential companion!

🥹These are just a few of the awesome pups waiting for you this weekend at VOCAL and the World Equestrian Center!!! Whether you're searching for dog or cat, adoption is a beautiful way to add a new member to your family while giving a shelter pet the second chance they deserve. Not quite ready to commit to pet ownership? You can still save a life by fostering! Opening your home temporarily gives a pet a safe, loving place to land while also creating room for VOCAL to help another animal in need. Our pets would absolutely love to see you today at our main facilities or the WEC Vendor Village! 🥰

TOGETHER we raised $44,709 this Give4Marion! Thank you helping VOCAL keep pets with the people who love them. With these resources we are able to spay/neuter more community cats and spay large breed female dogs. We are able to say yes more to individual's pets enduring a medical emergency. We are able to provide more pet food to families in need and keep our kitty cabins as a place of comfort. Thank you for giving, sharing, and creating care with VOCAL this year!

🐶🥰Meet Bakery! Bakery is a very sweet girl who loves to meet new people and especially kids! She came to us from Marion County Animal Services with a litter of puppies, she was a great mom and is now ready to live her child-free life in a new forever home!

Bakery has been in a lovely foster home where we have learned that she is dog and cat friendly, housebroken, doesn't chew, dig or bark! She walks well on or off the leash, and knows sit, come and stay and doesn't jump on the furniture. She does well left alone and will make any family a great companion!

If you are interested in learning more about Bakery, applying to adopt, or helping out by fostering - visit vocalforpets.org! You can also visit our main facilities today from 10am to 2pm to meet the many adoptable pets on site!

Last week during Give4Marion we made our way to The Remedy Dog Bar for their "Glow for a Cause" event. Therre were games, doggos, raffles, and plenty of dancing to match the mood. Through this event, the team at Remedy were able to raise an additional $700 towards our campaign goals! You have to check out this wonderful place for people and pups!

So much is happening at VOCAL today! Our clinic is busy with spay/neuter surgery for cats and dogs. Project FEED is helping families get the food their pets need. Our pups in the kennel are enjoying playgroups and time with our team of staff and volunteers. We even have a mama cat who gave birth while in her trap awaiting surgery (and is now taking good care of her babies). Today our mission is in full motion! Thank you for cheering us on as we work together to solve the homeless pet problem! ❤️🥳🙏
