Run for the Ribbons Non-profit 501(c)3 dedicated to the responsible aftercare of Thoroughbred racehorses

Run for the Ribbons is a charitable organization which provides off-track thoroughbreds (OTTB) with the foundation needed to ensure a smooth transition into their next career. Off-track and unraced Thoroughbreds are rehabbed, retrained, and rehomed by Run for the Ribbons, which specializes in the re-schooling of these horses from the track to multiple sport horse disciplines. ed centric horse shows and events, creating a demand for OTTB’s in Florida. We also educate the community on Thoroughbred aftercare and its importance within the horse racing industry. Upon being founded in 2014, Run for the Ribbons became a popular local horse show series for competitors on OTTB’s with proceeds benefitting the charity and the horses in the program. In 2017, Run for the Ribbons created and hosted the first annual Florida Thoroughbred Transformation Expo, a 3 day horse show offering prize money featuring competition in 7 disciplines for JC registered Thoroughbreds. Each discipline will have a restricted and open division, which allows
horses to compete multiple years and for unraced thoroughbreds to attend.
