We were almost in tears yesterday, so excited Elvira finally found someone to give her a chance.
After all she’s been through, pregnant when she came here with 13 puppies, heartworm positive and we got her treated, all her pups being adopted. No one has ever even asked about her.
She’s 5-6 years old and up to date on everything.
Because she’s been treated for Hw, she needs to stay on heartworm meds which every dog should be on anyways so not much difference than a normal dog.
She is terrified and stays in her kennel in one of my barns. She’s used to being outside. Good with other dogs just scared to death.
If anyone knows someone looking for an amazing dog, reach out.
It will take more than a couple hours to get acquainted to her new home.
She will be most comfortable with a pen/dog run or something for a few days to know where safe is.
