🎃👻 Happy Halloween from Connecticut PTA! 👻🎃
Halloween is one of the most exciting nights of the year for our kids. Here are a few tips to keep it fun and safe:
🔦 Be seen. Add reflective tape to costumes and treat bags, and carry a flashlight or glow stick.
🎭 Costume check. Choose face paint over masks that block vision, and make sure costumes are short enough to avoid trips.
👨👩👧 Go together. Younger children should trick-or-treat with an adult. Older kids should stick with a group, follow a planned route, and check in.
🚸 Walk smart. Use sidewalks, cross at corners, look both ways, and never dart out between parked cars.
🍬 Inspect treats. Check candy at home before eating, and toss anything unwrapped or homemade from strangers. Watch for allergens!
🚗 Drivers, slow down! Kids are out from dusk into the evening, so take extra care in neighborhoods.
🏡 Light the way. If you’re handing out candy, keep porch lights on and walkways clear.
Wishing all our Connecticut families a safe, spooktacular night! 🧡🖤
