As an FGLI college student, there have been many times when I thought I wasn't good enough, qualified enough, or smart enough to major in STEM. Each semester has had moments when I felt like a fool, and when I contemplated giving up all the work I had done to get a Bachelor of Science. I have often felt like I was a step behind, and that I couldn't possibly find my footing alongside my many exceptional peers from world-class high schools. But, this week, I finished all of the requirements for a B.S. in Physics from Yale University, and turned in my Senior Thesis.

This thesis reflects many months of intensive study, long hours of solving equations and writing code, and countless Zoom meetings. It embodies several of my greatest passions and greatest curiosities. And most importantly, it proves that all of my doubts were unfounded. Being a first-generation college student has been a journey of great challenge and great reward, and I now know that I was more than capable of seeing it through to the end. Thank you to everyone who has made this journey possible for me.

P.S. If you're interested in quantum computing and want to read my paper before it's published, I'd love to hear your thoughts!
