Service is not always loud.
Sometimes it looks like a smile at the door, a listening ear, a consistent presence, or a simple act of kindness that reminds someone they matter.

At The Storehouse Project, we believe transformation often begins through ordinary moments done with compassion, dignity, and intention.

Every meal shared, every conversation held, and every volunteer who shows up becomes part of something bigger than themselves.

Simple actions create lasting impact. 🤎

A meal can fill a plate. But shared meals rebuild something deeper.

Every week, people walk into Community Dining carrying more than hunger. They carry stress. Isolation. Uncertainty… And they sit at a table.

Last year, 6,872 meals were served through Community Dining.

But what matters most is what happens beyond the meal:
Conversations begin.
Names are remembered.
People return—not because they have to, but because they want to.

That is community.

This Memorial Day, we honor the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation and extend our heartfelt gratitude to all military families who carry both pride and loss.

As we reflect on the meaning of service, we are reminded that caring for one another and supporting our communities is one of the greatest ways we can honor their legacy. At The Storehouse Project, we remain committed to serving families with compassion, dignity, and hope — because strong communities are built through love, sacrifice, and unity.

Today, we remember those who gave everything for the freedoms we share. 🇺🇸

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

Tiffany came to The Storehouse Project after fleeing an abusive relationship—newly unhoused and alone in a new state.

She was met with dignity, care, and a community that showed up. With support, she secured a part-time job and is now working toward stable housing. This is what happens when access meets compassion.

Transportation, time, and availability are real barriers. We work every day to remove them—because help should be reachable.

👉 Serve with Joy

Food is never just food here… It is dignity. It is consistency. It is care.

We are looking to strengthen our culinary team with volunteers who hold a ServSafe Manager Certification, have food service experience or the desire to prepare food.

This is for someone who understands that how we serve matters.
You will help us:
✔ Maintain food safety and excellence
✔ Support large-scale meal preparation
✔ Lead with care in a fast-moving environment

This is hands-on. This is meaningful. This matters.

Give. Serve. Receive.

05/20/2026

Community care is not a moment. It is a commitment. It requires showing up again and again—even when no one is watching. That is the work. And there is room for you in it.

At its core, the Peret Food Pantry exists to provide more than a meal. It creates a space where individuals and families can find support, connection, and a pathway forward.

Each week, nearly 5,000 pounds of food are distributed through a welcoming, client-centered experience designed to support both immediate needs and long-term stability.

Come be welcomed by our team and receive with dignity tomorrow morning at 9AM!

Food insecurity is not always about having nothing. Sometimes it is about not having enough. Not having consistency. Not knowing what tomorrow will look like.

Sarah came to us during a season of homelessness. Today, she has a home, stability, and a new beginning.

What made the difference?
✔ Consistent support
✔ Community
✔ Someone walking alongside her

This is what happens when compassion meets action. Every day, stories like Sarah’s are unfolding—because people choose to show up, give, and serve.

We’ve shared more of these powerful stories on our newly updated website. Take a moment to see the real impact your support makes.

Because stability doesn’t happen by chance—it happens when a community comes together.
