West Haven Prevention Council The mission of the West Haven Prevention Council is to comprehensively engage all sectors of the West Haven community to prevent youth substance misuse.

Our mission is to involve and engage the local community to prevent alcohol and substance use among our young people. WHPC is tasked to develop programs and initiatives to prevent and reduce alcohol use among youth and young adults ages 12-20 in West Haven. Coalitions are made up of community leaders representing twelve sectors that organize to meet the local prevention needs of the youth and fami

• School
• Youth-serving organizations
• Law enforcement
• Religious/fraternal organizations
• Civic and volunteer organizations
• Healthcare professionals
• State, Local, and Tribal governments
