Today, we honor Juneteenth, a day of remembrance, reflection, and celebration marking June 19, 1865, when news of emancipation finally reached more than 250,000 enslaved people in Texas, over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. At The Boston Club, we recognize Juneteenth as an opportunity to celebrate Black history, culture, and contributions, while recommitting ourselves to advancing inclusion, connection, and impact in our communities and workplaces.

To learn more about the history and significance of Juneteenth, we encourage you to explore resources from the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture: https://nmaahc.si.edu/explore/moments/juneteenth

Allyship is more than a belief — it’s a practice. Join The Boston Club this Wednesday, June 3 for Moving to Action: Part 2 of our Ally Couch series as we shift from understanding allyship to living it through consistent, accountable action.

In this session, we’ll explore what it means to show up for one another in meaningful, everyday ways — especially in moments when equity work feels complex, uncomfortable, or met with resistance. Participants will examine real‑world scenarios, reflect on their spheres of influence, and identify practical steps that strengthen trust, belonging, and equity across teams and communities.

This conversation will focus on:

Translating allyship values into daily behaviors
Intervening and advocating when bias or exclusion occurs
Building relational accountability across differences
Sustaining momentum in environments experiencing DEI fatigue
Applying race‑conscious and race‑exclusive practices with intention

Join The Boston Club for a powerful two-part Ally Couch series, The Allyship Shift: What Leadership Requires Now, where nationally respected leaders in organizational equity will guide us through candid, practical conversations about advocating for DEI, responding to resistance, and moving from performative allyship to meaningful action.
