Richmond Hill small business owners, our October merchant meetings are coming up!

Join us and Free Loan Society to learn about interest-free small business loans of up to $60,000 and personal loans of up to $9,000. We’ll talk through who qualifies, how to apply, and how repayment works.

What could the vacant, unfinished “zombie buildings” in our neighborhoods become?

At Street Works Earth last Sunday, we talked with neighbors about Queens Community Land Trust, community ownership, and the possibilities for turning these buildings into affordable housing and spaces our communities need.

Neighbors added their priorities to our tower of blocks: tenant rights, more affordable housing, and community control.

Our 2025 Annual Report is live, and we’re proud to share what our community made possible. 💛

In 2025, Chhaya helped 60 families facing eviction remain in their homes, helped 20 families avoid foreclosure, and supported more than 200 immigrant-owned small businesses.

These milestones reflect a year of working alongside our neighbors for housing stability, financial security, and stronger communities in Jackson Heights, Richmond Hill, and across New York City.

Thank you to the community members, partners, and supporters who keep this work moving forward.
