Exciting news: RIEcuador is back! We are returning with a 2024 fundraiser.
This year you can opt to sponsor a child. Your donations will guarantee that child has the all the tools they need to attend and remain in school during the 2024 – 2025 schoolyear. Our goal this year is to sponsor for all 40 children we have been helping.
Of course you may also donate any amount you wish. Any non-sponsorship funds will fund a Christmas event for the families we serve.

Hello everyone! Today is the launch of this year's Sponsor a Child Campaign for RIEcuador!

I will be visiting Ecuador again in September to run the 2022 Charity Event.
Your donations guarantee that each child has the necessary tools to attend school during the 2022 – 2023 schoolyear.
Eight years ago, we started small, but we are now helping 40 children.
Our goal this year is to have a sponsor for each child.
Your generous support has allowed RIEcuador to continue to make education possible for children living in extreme poverty in Canton Gualaceo, Ecuador. Each year, your donations fund the purchase of school supplies, shoes, and uniforms these children need to attend school, and usually allow us to bring the children on an educational trip outside their home villages.

There are three sponsorship levels:
$250 sponsorship donation covers:
* School Uniforms
* Shoes
* School supplies, including books
* Cost of the yearly Field Trip
* Any school enrollment fees
$150 sponsorship donation covers:
* Shoes
* School supplies, including books
* Cost of the yearly Field Trip

Today’s an exciting day. Thanks to all of your contributions, we will hold RIEcuador’s 9th annual event. We will distribute school supplies, uniforms and shoes. Most exciting, we will open the new Technology Center! We have been working hard this past week to make this event a reality. Here are some photos of what we’ve been up to. The children and families RIEcuador serves live in impoverished villages in an around Gualaceo, San Juan, and Jadan, Azuay. Today, RIEcuador took our students for a day of self-care: to the optometrist, to the dentist, and to the barber. Most significantly, the optometrist diagnosed a severe sight deficiency that has hampered one child for years. He will soon receive his first pair of glasses for a fundamental life improvement. Thanks again to all of our sponsors and to Palms for Life, who made this all possible.

Yesterday, we celebrated RIEcuador's first class of graduates, who attended and remained in school through the last SEVEN YEARS (!) through hard work, dedication, and our continuing support. Each graduate thanked her "patricinador" (sponsor) from the bottom of her corazon. Palms for Life
