Here is your official reminder that hunger doesn't take a summer vacation...in fact it's quite the opposite. Many children nationwide rely on free/reduced lunch programs for their daily meals, and child food insecurity spikes significantly during the summer when that access is cut off. That is MILLIONS of kids losing meals every day, with so many not knowing when their next meal will be coming! Here in Friday Soup Kitchen we want to make a real difference to our children and do our part to bring an end to this sad reality, but we can't do it alone--we are funded completely through private donations with no government funding. We recieve NO government funding and are completely reliant on donations to feed those in need every week, and now with rising prices your donation means more than ever.
