Today marks 23 years of Real Sisters Rising Women Business Association, and I’ve been sitting with that number, really letting it sink in.
Twenty three years of building, rebuilding, learning, stretching, and standing firm in something I believed in long before it looked like what it is today.
I started this journey with a simple vision. I wanted women to have a space where they could grow in business, be seen, be heard, and not feel like they had to figure everything out alone. What I didn’t fully understand back then was how much this organization would also grow me.
To my team, thank you for showing up, for stepping into leadership, and for helping carry this vision forward. Building something like this is not easy, and the work you do behind the scenes matters more than people will ever fully see.
To our members, you are the heartbeat of RSRWBA. Every time you join, participate, speak up, invest in yourself, or even push through doubt, you are part of what keeps this organization alive and relevant. This is a membership and a movement of women choosing growth, structure, and ownership.
To our friends, affiliates, and supporters, thank you for believing in what we’re building. Thank you for collaborating, referring, sharing, and standing alongside us. Your support has helped us expand our reach and deepen our impact.
And to my family, thank you for your patience, your understanding, and your love. There were times when this vision required long hours, hard decisions, and sacrifices. You stood by me through it all, and I don’t take that for granted.
This 23 year journey has not been perfect. There were seasons where things were unclear, where growth felt slow, and where I had to make tough calls. But what kept me going was knowing that this work matters. That women need structure. That community needs leadership. That legacy does not build itself.
Today, I am proud of what RSRWBA has become. But more than that, I am clear on where we are going.
We are building stronger systems. We are raising the standard. We are creating pathways that actually help women move forward in business, not just feel motivated for a moment.
This next chapter is about growth with intention, leadership with accountability, and building something that lasts far beyond any one of us.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me.
We are just getting started.
Keep Rising,
ShaChena Gibbs
