DAY 2 | MIPAD Recognition Week 2026 🌍

Day 2 of MIPAD Recognition Week 2026 in New York City brought together industry leaders, changemakers and emerging leaders for conversations on Africa’s economic future and the power of effective leadership.

We began with a Solid Minerals Roundtable, bringing attention to the opportunities, challenges and potential of Africa’s solid minerals sector. The conversation highlighted the importance of collaboration, strategic engagement and unlocking the continent’s resources for sustainable growth and development.

We also invested in the next generation of leadership through an impactful Leadership Training session led by Lesley of Momentum Education. The session focused on developing leadership capacity, equipping participants with valuable insights and reinforcing the importance of intentional leadership in creating meaningful change.

From unlocking economic opportunities to equipping leaders for greater impact, Day 2 reflected the heart of this year’s Recognition Week: ensuring that influence translates into action, opportunity and lasting progress.

Because leadership is not just about the positions we hold, but the difference we make.

DAY 1 | MIPAD Recognition Week 2026

We officially kicked off MIPAD Recognition Week 2026 in New York City during UNGA Week with a powerful day centered on leadership, government engagement, global collaboration and African excellence.

Day 1 brought together leaders, public officials, scholars, executives and changemakers for the opening of Recognition Week and the global launch of Government Quotient (GQ).

The day began with our Opening Ceremony, followed by an insightful conversation with Phillips Consulting on doing business with the Nigerian government and navigating the systems and institutions that shape engagement.

We then marked the global launch of Government Quotient, with contributions from Foluso Phillips, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, Kamil Olufowobi and Dr. Jumo Ayandele, exploring a new framework for understanding government, navigating its systems and engaging more effectively.

The conversation continued with Government Quotient in Action, featuring Hon. Taiwo Oyedele, H.E. Dr. Dikko Umaru Radda and H.E. Professor Robert Dussey, followed by recognition of outstanding global leadership during the 2026 MIPAD Global Awards.
