Vision
JAMPACT will be the reference organization of young Jamaican professionals, students and friends of Jamaica who stimulate socio-economic growth and development in Jamaica and the Jamaica Diaspora. Slogan & Values:
PROMISE, POTENTIAL, PROGRESS...
Our slogan reflects our commitment to creating change in Jamaica. Values: Empowerment, Commitment, Creativity, Service, Drive

Jamaica Impact, Inc.

(JAMPACT) had its official launch on September 24, 1998 at the Jamaica Consulate in New York City, and was inspired by the support and encouragement that was received from both the then Consul General Dr. Basil Bryan and the Jamaican community in New York City. Through the commitment of its members and the community’s unrelenting support over the years, JAMPACT has made a host of contributions to those whom it is committed to serving and the organization’s impact continues to be felt in a number of ways, particularly through its Adopt-A-School, Annual School Supply Drive, and Tuition Assistance Programs, and contributions to various debates on economic growth, education, and other social policy issues. OUR HISTORY: OVER A DECADE OF IMPACTFUL SERVICE

In the words of one of its founding members -
"JAMPACT was started out of a desire to create a network of Jamaicans abroad to support each other and give back to Jamaica." "As the first president of JAMPACT, I would like to congratulate the organization on this significant milestone of 10 years of growth and contribution to the Jamaican community in the Greater New York area and in Jamaica. It seems like only yesterday that four recent arrivals from Jamaica (Stefan Wright, Cecile Thaxter, Chulley Bogle and Hope Greaves-Johnson) sat down in Uris Hall at Columbia B-School. Our inspiration came from the "Jamaica 2010" think tank recently started in London, England by our friends. In true competitive Jamaican spirit we decided to start a similar group in NYC."

As Jamaicans, we know the true meaning of strength, community, and hope. This holiday season, JAMPACT sends love and peace to all families, near and far. May this time bring moments of rest, togetherness, and gratitude for the blessings we still hold.

Our hearts remain with our brothers and sisters across Jamaica as we continue to rebuild after the devastation of Hurricane Melissa. Though the storm tested us, it did not break us. In true Jamaican spirit, we rise together — finding joy in our unity, comfort in our culture, and hope in better days ahead.

May this season remind us that even after the storm, God still reigns and joy lives here. From our JAMPACT family to yours, we wish you a peaceful, love-filled holiday season.

In the wake of Hurricane Melissa, so many of our beloved schools across Jamaica have suffered severe damage—classrooms flooded, supplies destroyed, and communities left struggling to rebuild.

As we’ve done for over 25 years, JAMPACT is answering the call. In partnership with the National Education Trust (NET), we are mobilizing relief efforts to get essential resources, supplies, and support to basic schools and families across the island.

Now more than ever, our children and teachers need us. Every dollar you give helps restore a classroom, replace lost materials, and bring hope back to communities eager to recover and learn again.

🙏🏽 We’re calling on our friends, supporters, and global family—please donate today and help us rebuild brighter beginnings for Jamaica’s youngest learners.
