This mechanism represents a commitment to the families and upholds hope. Friends of FAFG affirms its commitment to work alongside the Fundación de Antropología Forense de Guatemala - FAFG and the families of the Disappeared through the Mechanism to search for and identify victims through processes that incorporate inclusion, respect, and dignity as guiding values.

On this 29th anniversary of the signing of the Peace Accords in Guatemala, the Fundación de Antropología Forense de Guatemala - FAFG was invited as the guest of honor to carry out the changing of the Rose of Peace in a ceremony presided over by President Bernardo Arévalo.

This recognition highlights the work of the FAFG and its its vital role in advancing historical truth and dignity for the victims of the Internal Armed Conflict and their families.

As we reflect on this anniversary, Friends of FAFG reaffirms its support for FAFG, the resilience of the Guatemalan people, and the ongoing commitment of all who work for truth and human rights in Guatemala and beyond.
