The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, in partnership with the National Book Foundation, just announced their 2026 Science and Literature Selected Titles. These three books were chosen for their authors’ ability to “deepen readers’ understanding of science and technology.” Check them out! We are proud to note that Doron Weber, the Sloan Foundation Vice President, is the President of The Writers Room.

"I was really getting down because I was writing so little in the first couple weeks of the lockdown, feeling unmotivated and unfocused. Then I started the Zoom sessions at the end of March and everything changed. I don't know if it's seeing my Writers Room colleagues working away, knowing I have a daily routine and a commitment, or the sessions imposing a discipline I needed, but I'm literally producing at the same level as when I was at the room. Thank you! It works!"
