You just found out you have been diagnosed with a brain tumor.
The shock wears off. Then come the questions.
Get a second opinion from a neuro-oncologist. Ask for all your imaging and pathology reports, you own these.
Understand your tumor type and grade and ask questions until it makes sense to you. Explore all your treatment options such as surgery, radiation, chemotherapy and clinical trials.
Bringing someone to every appointment can be very helpful. You won’t remember everything.
Find your community. Connect with others who’ve walked this path. Document everything. Ask everything. And don’t feel pressured to rush treatment decisions.
You don’t have to navigate this alone. 💜
