Crisis and resilience shape daily life in Eastern Congo. Your support can help communities rebuild after tragedy.

Based in Bukavu, Kesho Congo helps vulnerable families build healthier futures through nutrition, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment. Founded by pediatrician and public health leader Dr. Adolphe Nyakasane, the organization combats childhood malnutrition, supports rural women farmers, and is expanding access to healthcare through a new hospital that will serve more than 74,000 people.

Today, Kesho Congo is responding to devastating fires in Bukavu that claimed 27 children's lives, destroyed more than 1,100 homes, and reduced two primary schools to ashes. While the full extent of the damage is still being assessed, the impact has already been catastrophic.

Based in Austria, the Spanish Riding School is one of the world's oldest riding schools and has preserved classical horsemanship for more than 460 years.

Through its stewardship of the Lipizzaner horse, one of Europe's most culturally significant breeds, the School safeguards a living tradition that traces every stage of the breed's journey, from breeding and raising to the training and presentation of stallions according to centuries-old methods.

Recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, the School plays a vital role in protecting a unique cultural legacy while advancing animal welfare and research. Together with the Lipizzaner Stud Piber and the Heldenberg Training Center, it maintains a model of heritage preservation found nowhere else in the world.
