X Design Workshop. We had the opportunity to host a workshop for our amazing students students designed sneakers on canvas that we then sewed together to create a quilt. Professor KickGameRickJames aka George Duval the visionary behind “KickNKnowledge,” has embarked on a remarkable journey to educate young minds about the captivating world of streetwear, the intricate business of fashion, and the vibrant tapestry of sneaker culture.

His non-profit organization isn’t just about imparting knowledge; it’s about nurturing dreams and guiding young individuals to view their passions as more than just hobbies – it’s a way of life and a potential career. The mission of “KickNKnowledge” is clear: expose students to the dynamic fashion industry and ignite their imagination about their place within it. George Duval goes above and beyond by forging collaborations with renowned high-end designers and iconic brands like Comme des Garçons, Supreme, and Nike, providing students with a unique opportunity to interact directly with industry luminaries. This is more than education; it’s an inspiration and a doorway to a world of possibilities. KickNKnowledge is an exclusive partner of the ACCE+SNKR Design program at SCAD.

We are so Grateful to & for stopping by our school in East Harlem to capture our students and Teachers. Really a special moment for us !!! EAST HARLEM, New York (WABC) -- A program in New York City is helping hundreds of students kick their passion for fashion design into high gear.

The classes are open to all young people but focus on kids in underrepresented communities - by hosting workshops with major companies.

At Innovation Charter High School, inspiration is all around. Just ask fellow student Ashley Ortega, 15, who was featured in a Nike campaign, wearing sneakers she actually designed herself and hopes to inspire other girls to get in on what is a billion-dollar industry.

"To be the person who's like, 'Hey, a woman designed that' would be amazing," said Ortega.

That sense of confidence is encouraged and applauded at KickNKnowledge, a program that teaches sneaker and fashion design to students in underserved communities. THANK YOU for visiting out HIgh School and allowing our youth to share there stories and aspirations we cannot thank you enough for taking the time to listen to our young people they were so inspired and motivated by you and your visit !!!
