Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche was always deeply concerned about the possibility of the precious lineages being lost. He devoted his life to receiving, preserving, and transmitting these sacred traditions for future generations.
This photograph was taken in Nepal while Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche was receiving teachings and transmissions of the Taklung Kagyu tradition from Taklung Shabdrung Rinpoche.
It was during this remarkable occasion that Taklung Shabdrung Rinpoche had a vision of the great masters of the Taklung Kagyu lineage.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama also spoke about this extraordinary moment in one of his teachings, highlighting its spiritual significance.

Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche is one of the most highly revered masters in the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism and an important holder of its major lineages. He spent almost 25 years with his teacher and grandfather, Kyabjé Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, receiving extensive teachings, empowerments and transmissions, and he continues that lineage today through his activities.

Matthieu Ricard, who served as Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche’s translator for more than twenty years will translate for Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche during the empowerments.

Eligibility: Those wishing to receive the empowerments and transmissions must meet the following conditions:
* Have taken refuge in the Three Jewels
* Have genuine faith and confidence in the Vajrayana teachings and in the Guru
* Have completed 100,000 recitations of the Vajrasattva short mantra or 10,000 recitations of the Hundred-Syllable Mantra. With great compassion for those earnestly seeking the Dharma, Rinpoche has graciously agreed that those who are unable to complete the prerequisite before the empowerment may attend by making a heartfelt commitment to fulfil it afterwards.

These events are being organised jointly by Khenpo Tsering Tashi, Yeshi Khorlo Buddhist Association and Rigpa Australia.

For a bodhisattva who desires the joys of virtue,
All who harm him are like a precious treasure.
Therefore, to cultivate patience toward all,
Without resentment, is the practice of a bodhisattva.
Merely for their own sake, even shravakas and pratyekabuddhas.
Make efforts like someone whose hair is on fire trying to put it out:
Seeing this, for the sake of all beings;
To practice diligence, the source of excellent qualities, is the practice of a bodhisattva.
