🎉LUCA’S ADOPTION🎉

Luca who as a young, non-issue, adorable boy spent wayyyyy too long in foster and was passed over too many times -is now home!! 🏙️They say good things come to those who wait, and Luca knows this is true because he now has his own human🙋🏼‍♂️AND a canine 🐶sibling! Luca will never be alone, homeless or abandoned again and he has the kind of home we always dreamed of for him.

While fostering a dog for such a long period comes with lots of tears once they leave, it also comes with joy knowing they will have the life they always deserved.

This is Terri the terrier (see what we did there? 😉)

Terri has also been in foster since late last year similar to Luca. She had grown super attached to her foster mama which resulted in a couple of unsuccessful meets with potential adopters. Unbothered by all that, Terri continued to happily co-exist in her foster home with a small pack of other rescue dogs and cats without issue. When her foster went on vacation, she went to a temporary foster home and easily settled in after a few hours with another small senior dog-success! 🎉

We posted Terri again recently and she received a lot of interest and several applications. After a meet with an approved potential family, off she went to her trial home (which included several other rescue dogs). Unfortunately for whatever reason, she felt overwhelmed with the resident dogs and came back to us after a few days.😢

While it is sad for the dog when a trial doesn’t work out, it sometimes helps us to learn more about their needs. Now we are seeking a more specific home for Terri-one that is quiet without a lot of activity, one with only one or two smaller friendly dogs and one where she can relax and decompress until she gets used to her new human and canine friends. Not every dog can acclimate quickly and the longer they are in foster, sometimes the harder it is for them. While we are looking for a more specific home now, we still know Terri’s home is out there-WE just need to work a little harder to find it. 🏡

🎉Meet Benji! 🎉

This sweet mild-mannered gentleman is looking for a new (forever) home. Benji is a rescue from Georgia who weighs about 40lbs and is estimated to be 6 years old.

Currently Benji spends his time in NYC with weekends in the country. He is an easy-going dog, house-trained, gentle with children and babies and rarely barks. He enjoys belly rubs, short walks to check the news when in NYC and lounging pool-side in the country⛱️🌳

Benji is neutered, vaccinated, healthy and ready for his next adventure!! A few weeks back we posted this little dude for . There was a ton of interest in 10 lb, 4-6 year old Luca, but few applications. While he did have a couple of approved applications, the potential adopters changed their minds and he never even got to go for a trial. 😢

Adoptions are super slow for the last several months; so slow that even cute, young, non-issue dogs are still sitting and waiting for their forever families. While it’s good to have committed fosters that hold onto dogs until they’re adopted, it’s also sad for the dog because the longer a pup waits, the more attached they get. 😕

We are looking for a home for Luca with another small, friendly dog because he needs a best friend! 🐶🐶 Initially fostered with another Beastly pup, Terri (who is also still looking for the perfect home), they became fast friends. He feels most comfortable with another pup or two to hang with.

Luca is fully vetted, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, housetrained and available for adoption in NY Tri-State area. He loves walks, 🐕kids, 👦🏼👧🏻humans and even kitties🐈‍⬛🐈!!

A raw and honest message to our rescue family... 🐾

The last few months have been some of the hardest we’ve faced. Last fall we took in dogs with serious medical needs — expensive, complex cases that we couldn’t turn our backs on.

Then in December, we were blindsided by something we never saw coming: , the platform we’ve used to process donations since 2020, filed for bankruptcy — while holding $29 million in funds from over 3,200 nonprofits. Ours included. We’ve hired a law firm to fight for that money. It’s a battle we didn’t ask for, but one we truly hope to win.

We’ve since moved to — a female-owned software platform designed specifically for animal rescues. Safe, transparent and built with missions like ours in mind.

We are operating close to the red. And we are asking for your help.

Calling all big dog lovers!! 🐾🦴

This perfect 5 year old golden needs a new home! 🏡 Yuan’s current family doesn’t have the time to devote to him, so they reached out to us to help them find a family that can give him the life he truly deserves.

Yuan is housetrained, good with everyone (including kids), loves to play and is not destructive. In other words, the perfect pup! 🐶

Sometimes dogs sit in foster homes for months because they have special needs, are older or need just the right family. Luca isn’t that dog. At 10lbs and a young, (but not too young) 4 -6 years old, a pretty much perfect dog sits and waits. 😞

Luca is likely a ShihTzu mixed with Poodle-both incredibly smart and sweet breeds. He loves everyone -especially other dogs and will need a home with another friendly dog. 🐶🐶

Luca is being fostered in NYC and is up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. He does have dry eye which requires daily drops, but administering them is quick and easy.

This four year old, ten pound little lady is still in search of her forever home. Rescued from last fall, she has been in foster ever since. 🫩Terri has had a couple of meets, but because she takes some time to warm up to strangers, no one has given her a chance.

Terri recently went to a temporary foster while her foster went on vacation and settled in beautifully. She is a typical terrier-high energy, sweet and bonds very quickly with her human caretaker once settled. She loves other young dogs and even 🐈‍⬛🐈 and would be great as a member of a small pack-or even as your one and only. She is housetrained, spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on all vaccinations and ready to find her forever human! 🩵

CHLOE is a 10 year old, 18lb Boston Terrier. Before we rescued her, Chloe had been overbred by her previous owners — a puppy-making machine. This kind of mass overproduction can lead to mammary masses, which we had removed, and had her spayed at the same time. We are thrilled to say that Chloe will never have to be a momma again!

In her foster home, Chloe is super playful. She loves loves loves balls. She is fully housebroken, loves to go for walks and sleeps in her own bed at night. All Chloe needs is a loving home to live out the rest of her years, for which we think there will be plenty of.

We’d love to see Chloe go home for the holidays.🎁 Please send us a DM if you’d like to meet her!
