WBC President, Mauricio Sulaimán and WBC Cares are proud to announce that Nico Ali Walsh has been named WBC Cares Ambassador of Justice.

As a Boxer, as a person, devoted to his family and friends, as someone who risks all by trying to protect the name of his grandfather, Muhammed Ali, his legacy and all the boxers around him, there can be no better choice for this position.

We are proud of Nico, his fearlessness and passion for the community and we stand taller because of him. He’s our hero for all humanity.

WORD OF THE MONTH: FREEDOM 💚🖤❤️

June is a time to honor Juneteenth and reflect on the meaning of freedom, not only in history but also in the lives we create and the voices we choose to embrace.

For Franchón Crews-Dezurn, freedom means being unapologetically yourself. A champion inside the ring and a creator outside of it, she has built her own path through boxing, music, fashion, and self-expression.

Known as the Heavy Hitting Diva, Franchón never limited herself to one identity. From appearing on American Idol, to designing fashion, to becoming a world champion, her journey reminds us that success does not come from fitting into a mold. It comes from having the courage to be yourself.

Her Freedom Belt represents more than victory. It represents individuality, perseverance, and the right to live authentically.

As we celebrate Juneteenth, we also remember the importance of building communities rooted in respect, understanding, and peace.

💬 What does freedom mean to you?

The WBC Cares initiative “Go Gray in May” is a campaign launched in memory of a female boxer who had aspired to compete in the Olympics but tragically passed away from a brain tumor before fulfilling her dream.
Last year, during the same period in Las Vegas, Naoya Inoue was presented with this special “Go Gray in May” belt after his victory over Ramon Cardenas.

To raise awareness of pediatric malignant brain tumors, especially DIPG - considered one of the most difficult forms of so-called “childhood cancer” to cure — and to promote research in Japan, the special “Go Gray in May” belt will be displayed at the “Angels’ Art Exhibition,” along with introducing the film of “JessZilla” showed at the exhibition organized by the Japan branch of the international U.S.-based support organization The Cure Starts Now, officially known in Japan as Cure Starts Now Japan (CSNJ).

The “Angels’ Art Exhibition” feature artworks created by children who bravely fought against pediatric brain tumors held for 2 days in Ginjumae, Tokyo had visit of over 300 people.

“Some came to see the belt, thanks to Naoya Inoue for posting on his SNS, but everyone also looked at the art exhibits. Some came with Naoya’s cheering towels around their necks and ended up using the towel to wipe their tears looking at the exhibits.” said by Mr.Takagi who is the board member of CSJN ex-boxer, who also lost his dear daughter by DIPG.

“The fans of Naoya Inoue are so sincere even though they came to take a loot at the belt, and all really showed care about our activity. This really was a true collaboration that we were able to raise awareness to the boxing fans who knew nothing about child brain tumors. Much appreciation to the support from WBC and WBC Cares by letting us display the special belt.” Mr.Nukui the chairman of CSJN send great appreciation to WBC and WBC Cares.

🌟 A Message of Thanks and Purpose 🌟

We’re so grateful that we’ve never needed the Royal Children’s Hospital — but our hearts are with the children and families who do. Because of them, and because we’ve been blessed with good health, we want to give back in a way that brings hope, comfort, and support.

Ruby is dancing in Dance for Sick Kids to help raise funds that provide shelter, care, and blessing to the children who need it most. Every step she takes is for a child facing something no child should ever face.

If you feel led to support her mission, we’d be truly thankful. Together, we can help lift up the little ones who need strength, love, and community around them.

💛 May our giving be a blessing to every family walking a hard road.
