The Doe Fund is partnering with NYC Water, the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), and the Gowanus Canal Conservancy to create green jobs, including for folks in Ready, Willing & Able. Jon-Adrian “JJ” Velázquez, who was wrongfully incarcerated for over two decades, shared his story with residents at The Doe Fund’s Harlem location, speaking on resilience, perseverance, and what it means to fight for a second chance.
