UA3's Senior Smartphone Workshop has been keeping our interns busy these past two weeks! They've been providing personalized tech support to neighborhood seniors on the pantry line and at our official workshops at the Manny Cantor Center. 🍎

From essential translation platforms, health management apps like mychart or the basics of internet privacy, we're making sure a vulnerable community isn't left behind in the tech world 💬📱🧓👵

Bridging the digital divide! 📱🌎

Last Wednesday, young interns offered digital support for their Mandarin-speaking elders in our new Better Health With Your Smartphone workshop! 👩‍🏫

For many of these elders, navigating through the U.S. with their native language all these years hasn't been easy. After our workshop, we were happy to see seniors feeling more confident to find trustworthy information online to benefit their health and social circle! Next workshop, April 1st!

Hello neighbors! There’s so much to be grateful for this Thanksgiving season 🍂🦃

Last Thursday, we kicked off our annual Thanksgiving distributions with a special Harvest Festival at NYCHA Rutgers Houses, our neighbors just a few blocks away in the Two Bridges community.

We’re sending all our gratitude to the amazing community powering these distributions; our loyal volunteer family, food suppliers, and supporters who make this possible.

Thank you to Council Member Chris Marte () and Congressman Dan Goldman (), who stopped by to meet families and share in the day. Also, thanks to ConEdison () and University Settlement() for supporting!

Because of your support, families across NYC will head into the holidays with full grocery bags and everything they need to make the dishes they love most.

UA3 x Rutgers Houses Tenant Association: 9/11 Day of Remembrance

We honored September 11th through service and community care at Rutgers Houses. Alongside our free food distribution, we were joined by incredible partners providing resources and support to neighbors.

A special thank you to Pitta & Baione LLP 9/11 Compensation Attorneys for connecting New Yorkers with resources and compensation opportunities.

We’re also grateful to Senator Brian Kavanagh’s Office, Head Start Early Childcare, Canalberry Pharmacy, Hamilton Madison House, Urgent Care, Con Edison, and LiveOn NY for tabling and sharing important programs. Thank you, Assembly Member Grace Lee , for coming and showing your support!

What an incredible day yesterday at our Back to School Festival at the ! 📚

Over 2,000 backpacks 🎒 were distributed to children in the community, along with reading books, notebooks, pencils, and more to get ready for the school year. Games, music, food, and dancing kept the energy high! 🕺

Thank you to for their generous support and for partnering with us to make this a great day. We’re so grateful to all of our partners and friends who joined us to make this event memorable and fun for Borough Park youth! ❤️🩵

📚💉 Back to School, Back to Health!

Last week, UA3 teamed up with Congressman and Gouverneur Hospital to host a Back to School Vaccination Event 🏥

Children preparing for school were able to receive up to 8 free vaccines to start the year healthy and strong. UA3 also shared fresh fruit and composition notebooks with every student who attended. 🍊📓

A huge thank you to our partners and families who came out to keep our kids ready for the classroom and beyond!

And we’re not stopping there, today we’re back with another Back to School event! Stay tuned for more highlights later today!
