Betances Health Center is providing a Back to School Giveaway this Thursday September 3rd 10am-3pm. They are a long time referral partner with Vision Urbana as well as a constant community resource for Lower East Side families since 1972! As we enter Hispanic Heritage month we recognize the leadership of Paul Ramos, a Puerto Rican community activist who established this institute as a "medical center on wheels" in order to bring health services to people living in poverty, to now over 50 years later a multi site health center that is serving thousands of New Yorkers in need of a variety of health care services. We honor the 50 years of legacy as we support the mission to bring health and wellness service to our Lower East Side community!

NYC Department for the Aging NORC program at 175 Delancey Street every week for older adults within the Seward Park Extension, Grand St Guild and Frances Goldin senior development at Essex Crossing!

New York City Council funded senior services program at 65 Norfolk Street every week for older adults and case management services for all within the Lower East Side and particularly New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) communities!

Vision Urbana, Inc. & Met Council - UJA are members of the Social Care Network under Public Health Solutions advocating for this Medicaid waiver to be renewed. We are calling on every elected official to support the renewal of the NYS SCN HRSN WholeYounyc program past April 1st 2027.
